Q : What size of bottle opening do I need for the Regular Kit?
The maximun outside diameter of the Regular Kits is 1 1/4". The inside diameter of the Bottle neck for the Regular size no more than 1/2".
Q. What can I use for a bottle/lamp?
Anything that you can create, If your a glass blower or pottery clay maker, the ideas are endless. Otherwise you can use any bottle the tier will fit on, please refer to the tier size in the picture of the tier. I use soap/lotion type dispensers, plant mister', old perfume bottles, tiki type containers,small vases,etc.- I perfer to use a glass or ceramic container but alot of my customers say they get the plastic resin type bottles and they work fine too, but I have never done this
Q. Where do I find these items?
Go to your local variety retail store, bed & bath stores, kitchen wholesale stores, dollar stores, lawn and garden stores, lumber yards, wholesale clubs, your high end fancy boutiques and more, You can even go to a glass blowers shop and have them design a lamp just for you
Q: What are wick sizes?
The mini stone is approx. 1/2" round with the cord/rope length approx. 4
The regular stone is approx. 3/4" round with the cord/rope length of approx. 5-6 1/2"
The Regular Tall stone is approx. 3/4" with the cord/rope length of approx. 7 1/2 to 8”
Universal Brand is approx. 3/4" wide with the cord/rope length of approx. 8 to 9”
Q. Can I make my own fuel or do I have to buy the name brand fuel like lampe berger, la tee da and the others out there on the market?
Yes, you can! I use 99% or 91 % ISO alcohol NOT 70% plus a few drops (1/8 teaspoon) essential oil. I will include a recipe with your kit. You can also use perfume oil make sure has no additives. same with bath oils.
DO NOT USE LAMP OIL THAT IS USED WHEN YOUR LIGHTS GO OUT IN THE HOUSE THIS IS A DIFFERENT KIND OF FUEL
1. Remove both the crown shade and snuffer cap.
2. Insert funnel amd fill your diffuser with fuel, Do not use oil!
3. Insert the wick all the way into the tier piece.
4. Place snuffer cap over the stone.
5. Allow wick to soak up fuel for 30 to 45 minutes
6. When ready, remove the snuffer cap and light the wick
7. Light with match or lighter and stone will flame up, then allow to flame to burn until the edges of the stone glows red and is ashy white then the flame starts to weaken APPROX 5 TO 20 MINUTES
8. Do not let burn more than twenty minutes.- Blow out when the stone is red ashy white color. If you have left the cap off the stone and is saturated, then try cleaning your wick overnite and then relighting.
9. Blow out flame and replace crown shade.
10.Lamp will begin operating and the fragrance will be dispersed while cleaning the air at the same time. It is recommended after 2 or 3 hours to snuff out the diffuser and the fragrance will be linger in the rooms for an extended period of time.
11. To shut down the lamp just place snuffer cap over HOT wick (DO NOT TOUCH STONE IT IS VERY VERY HOT)
12. Always place the plain cap over the stone when not in use. This keeps stone from drying out and also for not having to wait to light as it will already pre-soaked. Replace Crown shade over snuffer cap when finished.
