Reed Diffusers Recipe & Instructions

This is so quick and easy... I don't even need to give you measurements - this way the reed diffuser recipe can easily be altered so you can make as much or as little as you want.

Your recipe is half Dipropylene Glycol (DPG) and half your scented oil. So if you want 4 ounces of diffuser oil, that's 2 ounces DPG and 2 ounces scented oil.

1. Your scented oil can be one ingredient (like simply Almond) or you can do what I do and create your own perfect blend; More Blends Below.

2. Pour your DPG and fragrance oil into the amber or cobalt glass bottle, secure the lid, and gently shake until it's well mixed. This is where you'll keep your diffuser oil until you're ready to use it. If you make a lot of oil, it can be stored here indefinitely. Don't try to store it in a clear bottle that will allow light in

3. Pour 2 ounces of your mixture into your decorative jar (it may be more than 2 ounces depending on the size and shape of your jar. Just make sure it's about 1-2 inches deep

4. Arrange at least 12 rattan reeds in your jar. You may adjust the number of reeds for a stronger scent or for looks

5. It will take around 24 hours for your reeds to wick up the fragrance from the jar and start distributing it into the air. You should be able to enjoy about 30 days of fragrance

You can get the 99 or 91% ISO Alcohol; and the DPG at your local Drug Store just ask them to order it.

Home Fragrance Spray

What You'll Need

6 1/2 oz. Distilled Water

1 oz. Polysorbate 20

1 tsp Glycerine

1/4 tsp Potassium Sorbate

60 Drops Scented Oil

Home Fragrance Spray Instructions:

1. Because this recipe is so easy (pretty much measure and shake), the most fun and intricate part is developing your fragrance. What do you want your spray to smell like? Some opt for the easy route... simply lavender, or just white tea... single note scents. you'll need about 60 drops of the scented oil for this recipe. Again, it can be 60 drops of one scent like Vanilla, or it can be 60 drops of your own unique blend.

2. Measure all ingredients and add them to your spray bottle. Put the lid on and shake for 30 seconds. Easy enough, right?

Just spray or saturate the cardboard hangup with scent you desire

Ingredients your favorite scented oil

1 tsp Glycerine

Let dry inside a plastic bag for 24 hours and then hang backup in your car

or put under the seats.

ROOM POTPOURRI AIR FRESHNER'S

Saturate with scented oil with a few drops of scented oil

Ingredients

your favorite scented oil

1 tsp Glycerine

Bring old Potpourri Back to life with a new scent

Carpet Deodorizer

Ingredients

60 Drops of your favorite scented oil

1 tsp Glycerine

500g box of baking soda

Directions

Add the baking soda to a large bowl and then add the scented oil. Be sure to mix the oils into the baking soda well. Since lemon scented oil is normally yellow, it is essential that it is mixed well into the baking soda so that no undiluted lemon oil stains your carpet. This blend may be adapted to use your favorite scented oils. After you have blended the oils into the baking soda, the deodorizer can be stored in a glass jar or airtight container

Instructions for Use

Sprinkle the deodoriser onto your carpet (use of a discarded but clean large spice container that has holes for "shaking" out the spice works well for this). Allow the deodorizer to work its magic for 10-20 minutes and then vacuum .
